The 2009 edition of the Principles of Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Handbook outlines important considerations in designing, implementing and evaluating effective environmental enforcement and compliance programs. The 2009 edition replaces the 1992 edition of the Principles Handbook, and translations of the revised text will be posted as they become available.

The Handbook serves as background reading for the training course on the Principles of Environmental Enforcement and Compliance.
